Marco Lamandini is Full Professor of Company Law, Securities Law and Antitrust Law at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bologna and Visiting Professor of European Securities Law at the Catholic University of Milan. He teaches also Securities Law and Economics at the Erasmus Master in Law & Economics, a Master program jointly held by the Universities of Bologna, Hamburg and Rotterdam; International and European Company Law at the Master of International Law of the CIRDCE Center of the School of Law of the University of Bologna; Multinationals and Law at the Master of International Relations at the Center of the University of Bologna in Buenos Aires (Argentina). He is Visiting Professor of Company Law at the University of Paris X.
Marco Lamandini is an ex Alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science and was Visiting Scholar at Boalt Law, the School of Law of the University of California, Berkeley (1995): Visiting Fellow and Stipendiat at the Max Plank Institut fur auslandisches und internationales Wettbewerbsrecht in Munich (1997); Visiting Fellow at Magdalene College and at the Law Faculty of the University of Cambridge (1999), Visiting Fellow at Boalt Hall, School of Law of the University of California, Berkeley (2000), Visiting Fellow at LSE (2002), Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford (2003).
Marco Lamandini is the author or co-author of several law books and treatises in the field of Corporate and Securities law and of a wide number of articles on Corporate Law, Securities Law, Antitrust Law and Banking Law. He is a co-founder and co-director of "Rivista di diritto societario interno, internazionale, comparato e comunitario" (Giappichelli] and a member of the editorial board of the "European Company Law Review" (Kluwer Law).
He has acted as Expert for the European Parliament on several issues of Securities and Company Law since 2002. He delivered the Expert opinion to the European Parliament on the directive proposal on takeover bids in 2003 and was heard as Expert on several occasions on regulatory actions to be taken in the field of European Company Law and Corporate Governance (2002-present). He has been appointed in 2006 permanent Expert in Financial Services to the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Parliament from 2006 to 2009. He acted on 2004 as counsel for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair and the Ministry of Economy of Argentina for the establishment of a network of credit cooperatives in support of the local economy.
Marco Lamandini has been admitted to the Italian Bar in 1992 and is an experienced lawyer specialized in Company Law, Securities and Banking Law, Antitrust Law and Intellectual Property Law.
